The Buena Vista men's tennis team continued its strong play to begin the spring season as it won for the third time in four matches by handing Ripon College a 6-3 loss on Tuesday night.
BVU got off to a strong start with a pair of wins during doubles play with its only loss coming in heartbreaking fashion, 9-8, at number two.
John Foss was victorious in a three-set tiebreaker in his number one singles outing, coming all the way back after dropping the opening set to win 6-4, 10-4. Jake Thompson, Andrew Boell and Aaron Mumm all captured straight set victories at No. 3, 6, 5, respectively.
Buena Vista improves to 3-4 on the year and will look to make it three straight wins when it takes on Marian College (Wis.) on Wednesday at 10:30am.
