Strong Second Half Sends Men's Soccer over Iowa Wesleyan

Box Score

Steve Nyaye scored two of Buena Vista's three second half goals while Fabian Salazar added another, and the Beavers went on to pick up a 3-0 non-conference road victory at Iowa Wesleyan University on Saturday for its second straight victory.

After going two years without being unbeaten in consecutive outings, the Beavers have now done that twice this season.

Nyaye broke a scoreless match early in the second half with his third goal of the year late in the 49'.  That's how things stood until Salazar added an insurance goal in the 80' before Willy Salamanca dished a pass to Nyaye for his second goal of the afternoon.

The Beavers held a 14-10 advantage in total shots for the match while Matt Tennyson went the distance in goal and posted three saves.

Buena Vista improves to 4-3 on the year and will look to match last year's overall win total when it takes the field against Cornell College on Sunday.
