Dordt College scored during the 26' for a 1-0 halftime lead before adding two more second half goals, and that was all the Defenders needed to hand the Buena Vista women's soccer team a 3-0 setback on Tuesday night in Sioux Center.  The match was called shortly after the final goal due to lightning.

Buena Vista was held to only six shots in the contest, and just two on-goal.  Caroline Maher and Tori Carson each finished with two shots, while Carson and Kelsey O'Connor added the shots-on-goal.

The Defenders held a 14-4 shot advantage in the first half and finished with a 21-6 edge overall.

Abby Daley got the start in-goal for BVU and went the distance, posting six saves.

The Beavers are now 3-3-2 overall and will look to put an end to their current two-match losing skid when it host the University of Dubuque (6-3) to begin Iowa Conference play on Saturday at 4:30pm.
