STORM LAKE, Iowa (Oct. 28, 2025) - The Buena Vista women's soccer team had its season come to an end on Tuesday night with a 3-0 home loss by the University of Dubuque on what was a cold, rainy and windy night inside of J. Leslie Rollins Stadium.

The Spartans, who came into the contest unbeaten in conference play, took a 1-0 lead just under four minutes into play on a goal from Brooke Clark that was assisted by Alyssa Tranchita. Tranchita then found Virginia Speltz and doubled the score midway through the half before Tranchita capped the scoring in the final minutes of the half with her 11th goal of the year.

BVU got a first half shot-on-goal attempt from freshman Macy Palmer but that ended up being the only one for the Beavers in the game. The Spartans (10-1-6, 7-0-1 A-R-C), who clinched the league's regular season crown with the win, finished with 34.

Sophomore Maia Jaroch went the distance in-goal for the Beavers and finished with 16 saves. She finishes the season with 164 which lands her fifth-most all-time in BVU history.

Buena Vista closes out the year at 4-12-2 overall (1-7 A-R-C).
