The Buena Vista men's soccer team turned in 32 shots to only four by Presentation College on Sunday afternoon, but it was the Saints converting on their second attempt of the contest early in the second half to clip the Beavers, 1-0.

BVU had numerous open looks in both halves, but couldn't quite find the back of the net with any of them.  The team tallied 16 shots in both halves with 11 shots on-goal overall.

Presentation (2-5) broke the scoreless tie with its second shot of the contest just over three minutes into the second half off a deflected pass.

Tyler Lafferty turned in a match-high eight shots, including three on-goal, to help lead the Beavers, while Juan Flores-Andrade and Joey Stivers each posted five shots, including two on-goal from Stivers.

Freshman Matt Tennyson went the distance in-goal for BVU and tallied one save in each half.

Buena Vista now sits at 2-5 overall and will host Cornell College in a non-conference match on Wednesday night at 7:00pm.
