Trio of Men's Tennis Players Named to CSC Academic All-District

STORM LAKE, Iowa (May 13, 2026) - The College Sports Communicators (CSC) has announced its 2026 Academic All-District Women's  and Men's Tennis Teams and Buena Vista has landed a trio of student-athletes on the list.

The 2026 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Tennis Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. Up to four women and four men could be nominated from each institution.

Sophomores Nick Hiney, Ryan Smith and Owen Stansberry were all named to the list in their first year of eligibility.

To be eligible, an individual must be at least a sophomore in both academic and athletic standing with an overall cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale. Transfer student-athletes are immediately eligible if he or she has reached at least the sophomore status. An individual must also appear in at least 90 percent of the team's overall games for the season or have started in at least 66 percent. Nominees are submitted by their institutions Athletics Communication Directors.

The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2025-26 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
