Box Score BEREA, Ky. (March 13, 2026) - The Buena Vista men's tennis team put the final touches on a successful spring break trip on Friday evening with a strong 7-0 shutout at Berea College.

The Beavers swept through doubles play to get things started while allowing only five total points across the three matches. That hot start carried over into singles play with straight-set victories in all six outings with BVU allowing a total of only three points.

"I was a bit worried we would have a slight let down in play following a long trip to Kentucky after three matches throughout the week in Hilton Head, but we came out strong and took control of the match from the jump in doubles," said BVU head coach Brett Groen. "After we claimed the first point in doubles, singles followed suit with a clean sweep, and we were able to get Ben and Joey both in the line-up and both came away with team wins. It was a good way to end a 3-1 week and hopefully some confidence follows as we get ready for conference play soon."

Buena Vista improves to 4-4 overall and next will travel to Owantonna, Minn., on Saturday, March 28, for a pair of non-conference matches against both Northwestern-St. Paul and Ripon College.
