DECORAH, Iowa (Feb. 27) - The Buena Vista men's indoor track & field team began the A-R-C Indoor Track & Field Championships on Friday at Luther College and would register its only team point of the day in the Distance Medley which placed eighth.
The relay team was made up ofÂ
Aiden Egertson,
Leighton Sippel,
Carter Braun and
Patrick Heffernan and crossed the line in 11:05.69.
Senior Easton Hayes just missed out on the finals of the 60m dash by .06 of a second despite chalking up a personal best time of 7.08.
J'Omarion Preston was just 0.01 behind Hayes.

Nick Walch placed eighth in the pole vault and just missed out on scoring by four inches.
Buena Vista is back in action for a full day of action on Saturday to close out the championships. Field events will begin at 10 a.m. with the running events to start at 1 p.m.
