NOTRE DAME, Ind. (Feb. 13, 2026) - The Buena Vista STUNT team was right back in action on Friday for the first night of competition at the Saint Mary's College (IN) Valentine's Tournament, but the Beavers would come up short in both games, falling to Saint Mary's, 11-1, and to Maryville College, 15-7.

Saint Mary's scored the only point of the opening quarter which came on its first routine of the quarter. Both teams scored on the opening routine of the second quarter which made it 3-1 and Saint Mary's would take a 5-1 lead to the fourth after scoring one point on each of the next two routines of the third. Saint Mary's then pulled away in the fourth by outscoring the Beavers on the opening routine of the quarter and then adding single points on the second and fourth.

In the match-up against Maryville, BVU trailed 2-0 after the first quarter and 3-0 at halftime. Maryville won each of the two third quarter routines, 2-1 to extend the margin to 7-2 going to the fourth. Both teams then scored three points on the opening routine of the fourth quarter before Maryville closed the game by winning the second routine by a 5-2 margin for the 15-7 final.

Buena Vista is now 1-5 overall and will conclude the tournament with a game on Saturday against the University of Olivet starting at 9 a.m. (ET).
