Jestin Hulegaard put together a storied wrestling career for the Beavers from 2005-08. He finished as a four-time All-American at 133-pounds and placed in the top-5 at the NCAA DIII Tournament in three of those years.

Hulegaard’s best NCAA Tournament finish was a third-place performance as a sophomore in 2006 to cap a season in which he went 27-9 overall. He began that tournament with a pair of thrilling one-point decisions to advance into the semifinals before suffering a tough 3-2 loss. He did bounce back in the consolations, by picking up a 6-2 decision followed by a commanding 11-1 major decision in his final match.

As a junior, he went on to capture his first individual conference title, and as a senior, he won a career-high 30 matches. During his conference championship run, he went on to win a wild title match by holding off Wartburg College’s Jake Helvey, 11-10. He's the program's last individual to win an individual conference championship and its last four-time All-American.

Hulegaard finished his career with an overall record of 93-34, had 15 pins and totaled 150 takedowns.

A native of Anoka, Minn., Hulegaard was part of a BVU program that finished in the top-25 overall national team finish three times during his career, including a seventh-place finish in 2007.

Hulegaard currently resides in Ridgefield, Wash., where he is employed by Klüber Lubrication. He and his wife, Jessica, have four children: Lillian, Kolston, Coralyn and Hensley.
