NORTHFIELD, Minn. (Sept. 20, 2025) - Buena Vista sophomore Lilian Dahlhauser ran her first 6k while dawning a Beaver jersey and would lead the way for the women's cross country team on Saturday with a 49th overall individual finish in a time of 24:17.2.
It was a log jam that Dahlhauser found herself in as only one minute separated her finish and a spot in the top-10. Junior
Megan Bakke was next to reach the finish line and came across in 25:27.6. Fellow junior
Takara Conley posted a time of 26:06.9 while
Karley Ruiz-Genovese,
Kenadie Thiner and
Leah Becker rounded out the Beaver lineup.
A total of 209 runners competed in the 6k race which was won by Carleton College's Hannah Preisser in a time of 22:03.2. As a team, Carleton totaled only 24 points and won the team title by 33 points over runner-up UW-La Crosse. BVU came in 11th out of the 15 teams with a total of 338 points.
Buena Vista will host a 5k exhibition race as part of the annual Homecoming festivities this next Saturday, Sept. 27, starting at 8:30 a.m. The next official race for the team will be at the Dan Huston Invitational, hosted by Wartburg College on Saturday, Oct. 4, at 10 a.m.
