WAVERLY, Iowa (Oct. 4, 2025) - The Buena Vista women's cross country team took part in a tough field with multiple regionally-ranked teams on Saturday at the Dan Huston Invitational, hosted by Wartburg College, but the Beavers had multiple runers post a personal or season-best mark on the day.
Sophomore Lillian Dahlhauser turned in a new personal best time of 23:30.5 and placed 19th overall among the field of over 200 runners. Junior
Megan Bakke was next to finish in 75th at 25:33.8 while fellow junior
Takara Conley turned in a season best time of 25:48.5. Freshman
Kenadie Thiner also notched a personal best time with
Leah Becker rounding out the scoring line-up for the team.
No. 28-ranked Central College won the team race with 61 points to finish ahead of Grinnell College (89).
Next up for the Beavers will be the Platte River Rumble hosted by Creighton University on Friday, Oct. 17, in Ashland, Neb., at 1 pm. That will be the team's final tune-up of the season before the conference championships on Nov. 1.
