MANKATO, Minn. (May 2, 2025) - The Buena Vista women's track & field team was in action on Friday afternoon at the Maverick Open hosted by Minnesota State University.

Sophomore Peyton Schermerhorn highlighted the day for the Beavers by winning the shot put with a heave of 12.31 meters (40-4.75) while senior Courtney Johnson came in right behind in third at 12.21 meters (40-0.75).

The 4x400m relay team of Megan Bakke, Grace Neuberger, Ana Siech and Takara Conley chalked up a fifth-place finish in a time of 4:41.74. 

Buena Vista returns to action at the American Rivers Conference Championships which take place on Friday, May 9 and Saturday, May 10 at Simpson College.
