Box Score FULTON, Mo. (Mar. 1, 2025) - It was a strong start to the spring trip for the Buena Vista men's tennis team on Saturday as the Beavers rolled to a 6-1 win at Westminster College.
BVU earned the first point of the match by sweeping through doubles play and allowing only three total points.
Nick Hiney and
Kaiden DePascale won 6-2 at No. 1,
Brock Bruns and
Dalton Pregon, 6-0, at No. 2 and
Ryan Webb and
Tyler Harger, 6-1, at No. 3
It was much of the same in singles play as the momentum carried over for the Beavers. Pregon notched a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 2, Bruns was victorious 6-3, 6-1 at No. 3,
Ryan Webb picked up a 6-1, 7-5 win at No. 4, while
Tyler Harger and Bryson Fredericksen pitched 6-0, 6-0 shutouts in No. 5 and No. 6.
With the win, Buena Vista improves to 2-3 overall this season and will return to action on Sunday at LaGrange College (Ga.) at 11 a.m. (ET).
