Carleton Rallies to Edge Beavers 68-67

STORM LAKE, Iowa (Nov. 25, 2025) - The Buena Vista women's basketball team led by as much as 13 in the first half on Tuesday evening against visiting Carleton College, but the Knights rallied in the second half and would eventually hit a go-ahead three-pointer with 20 seconds to play in regulation to edge the Beavers 68-67.

BVU went up by four at 67-63 on a layup from freshman Adriana Howard with under three minutes to play but then went scoreless the remainder of the game. The Knights pulled within 67-65 on the next trip down the court. BVU was off target on its next three field goal attempts and also turned the ball over twice before Carleton got possession with 43 seconds to go. Coming out of a timeout, Addy Huss, who scored a game-high 28 points for the Knights, would hit a step back three-point shot from the top of the key late in the shot clock with 21 seconds to play.

The Beavers looked to win the game on a shot attempt from junior Mary Walker down by the rim but it was blocked and grabbed by the Knights who then called time out to advance with just over six seconds to go. BVU, which had committed only one foul in the period quickly fouled and then forced a five-second violation. After a timeout to advance the ball to its end, the Knights, who had only two fouls in the quarter, quickly fouled on back-to-back inbounds and then on the third attempt the pass was stolen away to end the game.

Walker added 14 points despite being held to only 1-of-7 from downtown while Howard chipped in with 11 points and five boards.
