Men's Soccer Comes up Short in a 2-0 Loss to the Storm

STORM LAKE, Iowa (Oct. 18, 2025) - The Buena Vista men's soccer team held Simpson scoreless in the first half, but the Storm was able to register a pair of second half goals and went on to hand the Beavers a tough 2-0 loss on Saturday night inside of J. Leslie Rollins Stadium.

Playing under a light rain early in the match, the two teams battled on both ends of the field with Simpson recording 10 first half shots and BVU adding nine. Neither team was able to find the back of the net despite both chalking up six shots on-goal.

The Storm (5-6-6, 2-3-1 A-R-C) eventually broke the scoreless tie a little more than a minute into the second half on a goal by Mitchell Dickson. They then doubled the margin six minutes later to make the most of their five shots in the half.
