STORM LAKE, Iowa (Oct. 16, 2025) - The American Rivers Conference announced its 2025-26 Women's Wrestling Preseason Coaches Poll this afternoon and Buena Vista was picked to finish fourth among the seven A-R-C schools fielding a team this season.
Buena Vista University, now in its third season, are coming off a strong season a year ago in which it went 4-2 overall and defeated a pair of conference teams in Dubuque and Loras.

Paige Storm, in her fourth year at the helm, will bring back a bulk of its line-up for last season and add a strong incoming class to the mix, to give the program one of its largest overall rosters to begin a season.
"It is an honor to lead this exceptional group of student-athletes into their second year of official conference competition," said Storm. "We have a strong group of experienced individuals returning and have welcomed a promising class of newcomers with the potential to make an immediate impact. This year marks a significant step forward in the continued development of our program and the growth of women's wrestling within the A-R-C."

Buena Vista will take the mat for its first official competition of the year on Saturday, Nov. 1 at the Luther Hill Invitational, hosted by Simpson College. After taking part in Open tournaments in each of the following two weekends, the team will take part in its first dual of the year when it begins A-R-C action on Thursday, Nov. 20, at Loras College.
The lone home event of the year will be on Saturday, Dec. 6, with the annual BVU Open. The Beavers will also compete against the University of Dubuque during a triangular hosted by Augsburg College on Saturday, Jan. 31. The A-R-C Individual Tournament is scheduled for a week earlier on Saturday, Jan. 24, at Central College.
