STORM LAKE, Iowa (Sept. 21, 2024) - Junior Mason Laven carded an even-par round 72 and is one of three Buena Vista University men's golfers sitting in the top-10 of the BVU Fall Invite which got underway on Saturday at the BVU Golf Course at Lake Creek.

Laven, who had three birdies in his opening round, is five strokes behind the clubhouse leader heading into Sunday's final 18 holes. Teammates Kaleb Sander and Matthew Turpen each posted 75's and are tied for eighth. Payton Greenwood and Gabe Kramer carded a pair of 83's and are tied for 34th. The team turned in a round of 305 overall and is fourth overall, just one stroke back of Simpson College. Loras College is the clubhouse leader after a 298.
