STORM LAKE, Iowa (Oct. 5, 2024) - The Buena Vista University women's tennis team closed out the regular season on Saturday morning hosting the University of Dubuque, but the Beavers came up on the short end of a 7-0 loss by the Spartans out on the Buntrock Tennis Courts.
Sophomore Macy Weller was the only player for BVU to score a point during doubles play despite dropping her No. 1 match, 6-1.
In singles play, Weller again had one of the tougher battles but came up short in straight sets at the No.1 slot, 6-2, 6-2. Taylor Fritz also scored points in both sets during her No. 3 match but came up short, 6-2, 6-1.
