INDIANOLA, Iowa (Oct. 2, 2024) - The Buena Vista University men's golf team was right back out on the course Tuesday morning at the Simpson College on what was a breezy day, and the Beavers finished in a tie for seventh place overall after posting a round of 334.
Payton Greenwood and
Ethan Peterson, who were each golfing as individuals for BVU, led the way with rounds of 81 and 82, respectively. Greenwood came in tied for 15th overall while Peterson was tied for 22nd.
Gabe Kramer matched Peterson while both
Mason Laven and
Kaleb Sander were one shot back after firing a pair of 83's.
Justin Hanks carded an 86 while
Matthew Turpen, who won the individual title at Wartburg on Sunday, carded a round of 87 to close out the line-up.
Central College's Ethan Gordon claimed individual medalist honors by three shots with a 2-over 73. Graceland University took home the team title after turning in a 314. The host Storm were right behind in third with a 316 with its 'B' team in third at 320.
Buena Vista wraps up its fall schedule on Oct. 10 with a match-play event at the University of Dubuque.
