STORM LAKE, Iowa (Jan. 21, 2023) - Senior Kayley Dresbeck recorded eight points, four rebounds, and two assists to help lead the Buena Vista women's basketball team on Saturday afternoon, but the Beavers fell at home to Loras College 88-61. 

Loras opened with a 14-0 run to start the contest. The Duhawks maintained their momentum as they headed into half time leading 54-23. The Beavers would respond with an 11-2 run to start the third quarter, but Loras' hot start proved to be too much to overcome. 

As a squad, the Beavers shot 46.7 percent from the field, 54.5 percent from deep, and 65.0 percent from the line. Other notable players included Addison Weber, Lindsey Anhalt, and Abby Nagel. Nagel and Anhalt each added eight points of their own while Weber recorded a seven-point, seven rebound performance.

Madison Fleckenstein starred for the Duhawks with 20 points, eight rebounds and two assists. As a team, the Duhawks shot 42.5 percent from the field, 22.9 percent from deep, and 81.8 percent from the line.

UP NEXT: The Beavers are now 6-11 (1-8 A-R-C) and will travel to Lincoln, Neb., on Jan. 25, for a matchup against Nebraska Wesleyan. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
