Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 MT. VERNON, IOWA (Sept. 3, 2022) - The Buena Vista women's tennis team played two of its three matches on the campus of Cornell College this weekend but came up short to the host Rams and Marian University, respectively, on Saturday afternoon.

Against Cornell in the opener, Alexis McGinnis came away with the lone victory for BVU when she hung on for a thrilling tiebreaker 4-6, 7-6 (7-5), 10-8 in her No. 1 singles match.

To close out the day versus Marian, McGinnis this time dropped a third set tiebreaker at No. 1 doubles but BVU was able to notch a pair of single victories.  Haley Meseck's No. 5 victory was the first in her collegiate career.  BVU was edged 8-6 in both doubles matches.
