DUBUQUE, Iowa (January 22, 2022) - The Buena Vista University women's basketball team turned right around following Friday night's game at Wartburg to play at Loras College on Saturday afternoon, and the Duhawks started fast and never looked back en route to an 88-57 loss.
Emily Newton was the only Beaver to score in double figures, turning in 10 points on 4-of-7 shooting.

Lindsey Anhalt each turned in seven points with Hamlett also grabbing a team-high eight rebounds. A total of 11 different players scored for BVU, which shot just under 40 percent from the field.
The Duhawks led 21-10 after one quarter and extended that margin to 48-19 at the half. Loras scored 24 more points in the third quarter before the Beavers finished strong by outscoring the home team 26-16 in the final stanza.
Loras (12-5, 6-2 A-R-C) had five players score in double figures, led by Cierra Bachmann's 15. Nearly half of the Duhawk made field goals in the contest came from long range as they made 15-of-39 attempts (38.5 percent).
Buena Vista is now 4-10 overall (2-6 A-R-C) and will host Nebraska Wesleyan on Wednesday night at 5:30 p.m.
