About Vanessa: Daughter of Jennifer and Mark Hamlett. She also has two brothers, Henry and Louis and three sisters Sally, Cynthia, and Natalie. 

High School Highlights: Volleyball - 3 time Team State Qualifier & 2018 E. Wayne Cooley "You Can Award Recipient. Basketball - 2018 2nd Team All-Conference Basketball-Upper Iowa, 2019 2nd Team All-Conference Basketball-Tri-Rivers, All-Conference Senior Basketball Team, & 1A Senior All-Star Basketball Team. Track and Field - 3 time State Qualifier in Shot Put, 2 time State 1A Shot Put Runner Up, Runner up at the Senior All-Star meet for Shot Put, 1st Team All-State 2018 & 2019, 1st Team All-Conference Track and Field 2018, and 2nd Team All-Conference Track and Field 2019. She was also a Honor Roll 4 years of High School, Valedictorian, 2019 IBCA Girls Academic All-State Team, Academic All-State Basketball, Academic All-State Volleyball, and Academic All-State Track and Field.

College Highlights:

2019-20: Appeared in 25 games...shot 46.3 percent from the field and was fifth on the team in made field goals...averaged 3.3 points and 3.1 rebounds while playing 11.0 minutes per contest.

2020-21: Appeared in all 9 games, started in 8. Shot 43.1 percent from the field and averaged 8.2 points and 6.3 rebounds in 26.2 minutes per game.

2021-22: Started in all 17 games played. Scored her career high of 20 points against Nebraska Wesleyan on 12/08/21. Finished the season with 5 double-doubles. 

2022-23: Started 22 of the 23 games played in. Finished the season fourth on the team with 180 points. Finished fourth with field goal makes and attempts going 60-for-131. She finished second with free throw makes and attempts going 57-for-70.  Hamlett was third on the team with 127 rebounds, 20 steals, and fourth with 26 assists.
