STORM LAKE, Iowa (September 26, 2020) - The Buena Vista men's cross country team was out on the course for the first time this fall, hosting the BVU Triangular out at Sunrise Pointe Golf Course along with Central College and Luther College, respectively.
Junior
Greg Tystahl led the Beavers with a 19th-place finish overall in a time of 28:26.3.Â
Cameron Kaltschnee and
Kyle Miller were a minute behind as Tyle Grames came in at 29:40.
"We have a long way to go," said head coach
Colt Slack following the meet. "Some highlights, certainly, but we aren't satisfied with where we are. No one ran their best today and we know we left a lot out there. Altogether we had our first meet and got the jitters out, but we wanted more at our home course. We will be back to train even harder this week and hope to display our potential in a few weeks."
The Beavers will return to action on October 10 when they run at the Dubuque Triangular against the host Spartans and Coe College.
