NORTHFIELD, Minn. (Sept. 20, 2025) - The Buena Vista men's cross country team was back out on the course on Saturday morning to take part in the St. Olaf Invite, and the Beavers came in 10th overall in a field that consisted of 14 teams.
Junior
Patrick Heffernan was the first Beaver to cross the finish line of the 8k race and did so in a time of 26:57.70 which placed him 55th overall. Senior
Hadyn Piskorski was one minute off of his all-time best mark and took posted a time of 28:08.70 while placing 99th.
Freshman
Corbin Webster ran his first-ever collegiate 8k race and turned in a time of 29:32.8 with fellow freshman
Kade Hruby also running his first collegiate 8k race and coming in next at 31:01.5. Senior
Carter Braun was the final scoring finish for the Beavers and placed 148th.
Over 190 total runners made up this year's field which was won by Augsburg College's Mohammad Bati in a time of 24:42.5.
Nationally-ranked UW-La Crosse took home the team title with 30 points to finish well ahead of runner-up St. Oalf at 73.
Buena Vista will host an exhibition race for its annual Homecoming festivities on Saturday, Sept. 27, at 8:30 a.m. The team's next official race will be on Saturday, Oct. 4, at the Dan Huston Invite, hosted by Wartburg College starting at 10 a.m.
