Sioux City, Iowa (September 24, 2020) - It was a strong start to the 2020 fall schedule for the Buena Vista men's golf team as three individuals finished in the top-10, including medalist Anthony Gallagher, as the Beavers took second on Thursday afternoon with a round of 302.
Gallagher got his final collegiate campaign off to a strong start posting a round of 70 to win the even by one stroke over Northwestern College's Alex Snyder. Fellow senior Ryan Ruzek was close behind in a tie for seventh after a 75 while sophomore Shane Hess tied for 10th with a 77.
Sophomore Joey Ashley just missed out on the top-10 after an 80 as Kaden Howard rounded out the line-up with a 94.
Junior Peyton Stage (82) and freshman Gaven Bruellman (95) each played the 18-hole event as individuals.
The Beavers will play their final scheduled fall event on October 3 during the A-R-C Match Play. A start time and location is yet to be determined.
