Buena Vista's number one double team of Chris Habermann and Jesse Brace improved to 13-6 on the year as they cruised to an 8-2 victory on Wednesday afternoon during BVU's Iowa Conference home loss to Wartburg College.
The dynamic duo won their third straight match and improved to 4-2 against league foes. They have won eight of their last 10 doubles matches overall.
Brace came up short in a three-set tiebreaker in his number two singles outing, dropping the first (7-6) before forcing a third with a 6-3 win in the second. He, however, had the comeback bid fall short with a 10-3 loss.
The Knights won the final four singles matches in straight sets, allowing just five total points in those contests.
Buena Vista dips to 3-17 on the year (1-6 IIAC) and will be off until wrapping up its home schedule with a non-conference match against Morningside College starting at 3:00pm.
