Box Score Buena Vista has its sights set on winning its first Iowa Conference Tournament title since 2004 when it hosts Simpson College in one of two quarterfinal match-ups tonight inside of Siebens Fieldhouse. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00pm.

Buena Vista wrapped up the regular season on the road this past Saturday with a tough 92-78 loss at Coe College. It was the third straight setback for the Beavers heading into play tonight, and the win gave the Kohawks the sixth and final spot into the IIAC Tournament. Jasmyn Flynn-Graves led BVU with 19 points, including 11-of-15 at the free-throw line. She also grabbed 10 rebounds for her second double-double of the year. Becca Pennington followed with 17 points while Holly Schneider came off the bench and registered a career-best 10 points.
Looking ahead:
The winner of tonight's game will advance on to play Thursday night at top-seed Luther College. BVU split the regular season series with the Norse while the Storm were dealt a pair of double-digit defeats. The championship game will feature the two semifinal winners playing at the highest remaining seed on Saturday night at 7:00pm
BVU vs. Simpson:
The two teams met to tip-off the Iowa Conference schedule this year right here in Storm Lake with Buena Vista making 10-of-27 attempts from downtown en route to a 12-point victory. The Storm avenged that loss with a narrow 71-64 victory last Wednesday in Indianola when it outscored BVU by 13 at the charity stripe.
Tonight marks only the second meeting all-time between the two programs in Iowa Conference Tournament history. The last match-up was in 2008-09 with the Storm winning 75-65 on their home floor. The Beavers have won two of the last three games played against Simpson in Storm Lake.
Tonight's game will also feature the two longest-tenured head coaches in the conference. Both coaches square-off with over 50 years of combined coaching and the two sides of combined to win eight of the 16 IIAC Tournament championships all-time.
BVU GAME NOTES:
IIAC Tournament: It's just the second time in the last four years BVU has made the tournament. Up to that point, the team had never missed since the tournament began in 2000.
Scoring Leaders: Flynn-Graves moved up and finished conference play ranked second among all IIAC players in scoring at 17.3ppg. She takes the floor tonight just four points shy of 400 on the year which would move her into the top-25 in program history for a single season.
Reining 3's: Senior Lexi Fisher went 3-of-6 from downtown in a win over the Norse on February 6 and became just the second player in school history to reach 200 career three-point makes. She joins Katie Maguire who ended her career with a school-record 238.
Homecourt Advantage: BVU went 5-2 at home during IIAC play this season and 6-4 overall. For the year, the Beavers are averaging nearly 85ppg at home and
Ranking High...Buena Vista is the only team in the Iowa Conference to have multiple players ranked in the top‐13 in the league in scoring thru 10 conference contests. Heading into today's game, Jasmyn Flynn‐Graves is 3rd (16.2ppg), Becca Pennington is 11th (12.8ppg) and Lexi Fisher is 13th at 12.4ppg.
Among the National Leaders...BVU is ranked 14th in Division III in scoring average (76.2ppg) and fourth in three ‐point makes (196). It's also 28th in assist‐to‐turnover ratio (1.05). Sidney Beckman is 23rd in three‐point makes (57) with Lexi Fisher at 69th (49).
