Brothers Adam and Jarod Juhl each made a team-high two three-point shots off the bench and chipped in with eight and six points, respectively. Sean Morgan dished out a career-high five assists as BVU had only 11 on 27 made field goals.
The Beavers shot 43.5 percent overall from the floor, but made just 13-of-21 from the free-throw line.
Loras was just a touch better, shooting 50 percent from the field, while making 9-of-18 from downtown and 15-of-19 at the charity stripe.
The Duhawks shot 63 percent from the field in the first half, including six of their nine three-point makes, and took a 47-42 lead into halftime.
BVU trailed by as many as 10 points in the second hald with just over 8:00 left. The Beavers, however, had a late surge and got within one at 76-75, but couldn't get a shot to fall over the final three minutes, missing their final six shots.

Buena Vista is now 6-7 overall and 1-1 in conference play. The team will now host a pair of games next week, starting with Coe College (5-8, 0-2 IIAC) on Wednesday night at 8:00pm.
