Box Score Eric Powers tied the match at 1-1 with three seconds left in regulation, but the Buena Vista men's soccer team eventually fell, 2-1, in double overtime when Coe scored with 14 seconds left.
Powers scored his third goal of the year just before the horn sounded to force extra time off an assist by Christian Morales. Coe had taken a 1-0 lead earlier in the half when Enoch Duval scored his third goal of the year from when he squeezed the ball into the bottom left corner from about 25 yards out at the 78'.
The teams combined for just five shots in the first overtime before Coe converted on its fourth attempt to win the match.
Tyler Smaha had two shots, including both on-goal to help lead BVU, while Gum Riak also had two (one on-goal).
The Kohawks held a 27-11 advantage in total shots.
Jake Hutto got the start and went the distance in-goal for BVU, allowing both goals and posting nine saves.
Buena Vista dips to 5-7 overall (0-3 IIAC) and will host Wartburg College on Wednesday night, October 14 at 7:00pm.
