The Buena Vista men's tennis team took the courts inside of the Lamberti Rec Center on Saturday for their first two home matches of the 2014 season.  BVU came away with a convincing 8-1 Iowa Conference win over Dubuque to get things started before falling 7-2 to Augustana College (SD) in the finale.

BVU took all three doubles matches against the Spartans to jump out in front 3-0 before winning five of the six singles matches, while dropping just one set in those five victories.

The number three doubles team of Just Buzzard and John Bieber picked up their second win of the day in the match with Augustana before Bieber also claimed his second singles triumph with the 6-1, 6-3 triumph in the number six slot.

BVU is now 1-3 overall (1-2 IIAC) and will prepare to play at Bethany Lutheran next Saturday, February 22, at 5:00pm.
