It was virtually all BVU from the opening tip, as the Beavers jumped out to a quick 16-3 lead with just over five minutes gone by. The Scots were still in striking distance at 27-14 with under 10 minutes left in the first half before BVU took a 17-point cushion (50-33) into halftime.
Wiederhoeft sank a pair of free-throws early in the second half to push the advantage to 20 before Beckman drilled one of her long range shots to make it 63-40 with 15:30 to play.
Minutes later Beckman connected again from downtown to extend the margin to 25, and the Scots (2-4) were unable to get any closer the rest of the way.
Lauren Clamage led all scores with 25 points for Macalester and was also selected to the All-Tournament Team.
Pennington and Fisher were each named to the All-Tournament Team for the Beavers, as Fisher took home MVP honors.
