Box Score A day after making 15 three-pointers during a blowout win against Martin Luther College, the Buena Vista women's basketball team followed it up with 10 more on Sunday afternoon to help lift the team to a second straight convincing win - this one an 86-53 triumph over Crown College on the final day of the Gustavus Adolphus Classic.
Junior Lexi Fisher went 4-of-14 from beyond the arc to finish with a game-high 18 points. She also added four rebounds to go along with a game-high four steals. Lacey Vokt and Jasmine Demers each followed with 13 points, with Vokt also adding six rebounds and a team-best four assists.

The big story of the game was the turnover differential. BVU forced 29 turnovers while committing 17 and scored 32 points off the turnovers, compared to only 13 by Crown.
Buena Vista opened an early 10-2 lead and maintained that margin for a good part of the first half until a jumper by Wiederhoeft midway through the period made it a double-digit lead for the first time (21-10). Crown tried to hang tough, getting back within 25-18 with six minutes to go in the half before a jumper from Demers helped spark a 21-6 run to close the period and give the Beavers a 46-24 lead at the half.
BVU maintained that 20-point cushion for the early part of the second half before the advantage hit 31 (69-38) with 7:27 to play. A jumper by Demers in the closing seconds gave the Beavers their largest lead of the afternoon (86-49).
Buena Vista improves to 2-0 on the year while Crown dips to 0-2. The Beavers will be back in action on Tuesday night, November 18, when they play their home opener against Bethany Lutheran College (0-1) beginning at 7:00pm.
