Buena Vista University

Tyler joined the Beaver volleyball coaching staff in March of 2017 and will begin his first season on the bench in the fall of 2017.

He has spent the past two years serving as a volunteer assistant coach at the University of Louisville and was part of a 2015 ACC Championship team while being named the 2015 Coaches 4 Coaches Scholarship recipient at the 2015  Amercia Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Convention.

During his time out in Kentucky, Tyler spent time as the coach for the 17-under teams both years, and his team placed third at the AAU national tournament in 2016 out in Orlando, Fla.

Wills was a stand-out collegiate volleyball player himself at Clarke College in Dubuque, Iowa.  He was a 4x AVCA All-American, 4x First Team All-Conference selection and 2x Conference Player of the Year.

In addition to his playing career at Clarke, he also spent those same four years serving as an assistant volleyball coach at Southwestern High School in Hazel Green, Wis.  He helped coach three consecutive teams to the state tournament, including two runner-ups and one third-place finish.
