Biography

About Shane: Son of Mike (Wrestled at UNI) and Amy...also has three sisters Megan, Rachel, and Bailey.

High School Highlights: He was a three-time varsity letterwinner for the Dragons and a state qualifier in 2014 & 2015.  He was a member of the State Dual Meet qualifying team in 2015.  Received the Most Valuable Wrestler award for his team following his senior campaign. Was a three-time academic letterwinner.

College Highlights:

2016-17: Went a career-beat 15-11...tied a single-season school record with 13 pins...his five wins during IIAC competition tied for second-best on the team...he won five of his final seven matches of the year (all by pin)...Placed 6th at the William & Jefferson Invite to start the year...he was voted by the team as the Most Valuable Wrestler and also earned the Breakthrough Award.

2015-16: Went 6-6 in 12 varsity matches as a freshman...Five of his six wins came by pin.

Outside of wrestling, Shane has been involved with the annual Crop Walk and Buenafication Day.
