Biography

About Wes: Is the son of Todd and Kim Nordquist.

High School Highlights: Was a three-year letterwinner for the Tigers for coach Aaron Mager. He was a Second Team All-Conference selection as a sophomore before earning First Team honors his final two seasons. In addition, he was also named First Team All-State as a senior. Aside from basketball, he was also a two-year letterwinner in football where he was named an All-District performer and a Second Team All-State selection as a junior and senior. He also lettered in golf four years.

College Highlights: Is a three-time letterwinner for the Beavers. Wes was third on the team in scoring as a freshman, despite making a team-high 124 field goals. Defensively, he led the way in both rebounding and blocked shots, while ranking seventh and six, respectively, in the IIAC. He finished the year with three double-doubles, including a 17-point, 14-rebound performance at Simpson College on February 10. Scored 20 points, on 7-of-12 shooting, against Central College during the IIAC Tournament Championship game. As a sophomore, he had another monster year, leading the team and ranking sixth in the league in scoring, while leading both in rebounding. Had six double-doubles on the year, including a career-high 29 points and career-best 15 rebounds against Denison on December 28. He also scored 28 points and grabbed 14 rebounds at Simpson College on February 16. Last season as a junior, he again led the team and ranked fourth in the league in scoring and led the team and ranked second in rebounding. He posted a career-high nine double doubles, including three straight to end the year. He also scored at least 20 points in five of the final eight outings of the season. One of his best efforts of the year came against George Fox University on December 21, when he scored 28 points and grabbed a career-high 18 rebounds. He also turned in 22 points and hauled in 13 rebounds against Wash U in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. Late in the year, he also became just the ninth player in school history to score at least 1,000 career points and grab at least 500 career rebounds. Wes is a two-time all-conference player, having earned First Team accolades in each of the last two seasons.
