About Sam: Is the son of Thomas and Jayne Lipps...has one sister, Kirsten.
High School Highlights: He was a two-time letterwinner for the Bulldogs where he was a Third Team All-North Central Conference performer as a junior and a First Team selection following his junior campaign. Also following his senior year, he was a First Team All-Substate and Third Team All-State selection. In addition to basketball, he lettered three times in baseball and was a Second Team All-Conference performer as both a junior and senior. He also lettered twice in golf. Aside from athletics, he was a member of the National Honor Society.
College Highlights:
2015-16: He would appear in all 27 games this season. His 51.2 percent field goal shooting ranks 4th on the team, 40.4 percent shooting from three point is first, 76.5 percent free throw shooting was 3rd, and 6.0 points per game was 6th. Against Gustavus Adolphus on Nov. 29th he would score a season high 17 points along with 5 rebounds and 2 assists.
2014-15: He saw the majority of his playing time with the junior varsity team. He made eight varsity appearances off the bench and averaged 2.5 minutes. He scored a career-high six points, including a pair of three-pointers, against Bethany Lutheran. He later added five points in three minutes late in the year in a win over Simpson.
2013-14: Played primarily as a member on the junior varsity team. Did appear in a pair of games off the bench for the varsity, including his collegiate debut against Finlandia on November 24 when scored three points in just two minutes.
2012-13: Was a member of the junior varsity team as a freshman.
