Biography

About Nick: Is the son of Lisa Clark and the late Scott Clark...has one brother, Zak, as well as one sister, Jill...his brother was a four-year starter in basketball for Central College.

High School Highlights: He was a four-year letterwinner on the court for the Gaels. As a sophomore, he was a First Team All-North Central Conference selection and earned Third Team All-State accolades. A year later as a junior, he was again a First Team All-Conference performer and a Second Team All-State selection. Following his senior year, he was named First Team All-Conference, First Team All-State, helped lead the Gaels to the Class 2A State Runner-up, was a member of the All-Tournament Team and was named the Class 2A Player of the Year. In addition to basketball, he lettered five times in baseball and was an all-conference selection each year, while helping his team capture the Class 2A State Championship as a freshman. He also lettered all four years in football and was a Second Team All-District kicker and Honorable Mention All-District quarterback as a sophomore, First Team All-District kicker and Second Team Quarterback as a junior before earning First Team All-District recognition at receiver, Second Team honors as a kicker and First Team All-State recognition as a safety. Aside from athletics, he was listed on the school''s Honor Roll and graduated Magna Cum Laude.

College Highlights:

2015-16: He started al 27 games for the team this season. He would lead the team in minutes per game (29.9), points per game (19.9), Steals (50), Assists (146), and three pointers made (83). His 82 rebounds would rank 5th on the team and his 79.2 percent free throw shooting was second. Against Elmhurst on Dec. 19th he would tie his season high of 36 points and record 14 assists with 5 rebounds to get his third double double of the season. He was named 1st team all conference and 1st team all region.


2014-15: He started all 26 games and was the team''s starting point guard.  He finished second on the team in scoring at 14.4ppg and ranked 11th among all IIAC players in conference games (14.1ppg).  He did a great deal of his damage from long range, making a career-high 67 three-point baskets.  He was second during IIAC play with 2.50 3-pt makes per game and was 11th in 3-pt percentage at 38 percent.  He also averaged 3.2 assists per contest and recorded an average of 0.9 steals per outing.  His 67 three-point makes were the seventh-most in single-season history.  He turned in a season-best 27 points, including five three-point buckets in the season finale against Wartburg in the IIAC Semifinals.  He had nine 20-point games overall and made six three-point baskets on two separate occasions.  Following the year, he landed Second Team All-IIAC accolades.

2013-14: He played in all 27 of the team''s games as a sophomore, including 10 starts.  He made his first collegiate start in the Iowa Conference opener at Coe College.  He finished the year ranked second on the team in scoring (9.8ppg) and in assists (2.64spg), while leading the way and ranking third in the IIAC in steals per game (1.36).  He had a pair of 20-point performances on the year, scoring a career-best 29 points, while hitting a career-high seven three-point buckets during a win against Wartburg on January 22.  He also turned in 27 points, while matching his career-best with seven three''s in the team''s final game of the year against Central during the semifinal round of the IIAC Tournament on February 27.

2012-13: He made a strong impact on the team as a freshman, appearing in 25 games off the bench where he finished the year ranked fifth on the team in scoring at 7.2ppg.  He was tops on the team, avering 1.6 steals per game, while also dishing out 1.6 assists per contest.  He had six double-digit scoring games, including a career-best 14 points, including four three-point buckets, during the team''s win against Pomona-Pitzer on December 30.  He later dished out a career-high five assists and recorded eight steals in a win against Loras College on February 2.
