About Laura: Is the daughter of Mike and Deb...has one sister, Darcy, as well as two brothers, Jacob and Cole...her sister plays volleyball at Midland University.
 High School Highlights: As a senior, she set a new school record with 905 assists. For the year, she averaged 9.8 assists/set and 2.9 digs/set.  Overall, she tallied 271 digs. Her total assists and assist/set ranked second in all of Class C-1. She was a key component that helped lead the team to its first-ever Nebraska Girls State Volleyball Tournament. Following the season, she was tabbed an Honorable Mention Class C-1 All-State selection by both the Omaha World Herald and the Lincoln Journal Star.  In addition, she was a Capitol Conference First Team All-Conference selection (Honorary Captain) and was Academic All-State.
 As a junior in 2012, she was also a First Team All-Conference performer and an Academic All-State selection.
 In addition to volleyball, she lettered in dance (4 years), track (1 year) and cheerleading (2 years).
College Highlights:
2014: Laura quickly put her name in the BVU record books during a stellar freshman campaign.  She played in all 36 matches throughout the year and set a new single-season school record with 1,462 assists.  She led the IIAC in assists/set (11.45), a total that also ranked 16th nationally.  She had 22 matches with at least 40, including a career-high 61 set against Gustavus Adolphus.  That total is the fourth-highest for a five-set match in school history.  Defensively, she was fourth on the team with 353 digs and also added 36 service aces.
