About Thomas: Is the son of Jay and Sandy...has two sisters, Emily and Abby.
High School Highlights: He lettered four years in baseball and also earned First Team All-Conference and All-District recognition following his junior and senior campaigns. During his senior season, he was a key starter on a team that advanced into the semifinals of the state tournament.
In addition to baseball, he was a four-year letterwinner in basketball for the Warriors. He earned First Team All-Conference and First Team All-District honors following both his junior and senior seasons.
As a senior, he averaged 17.2ppg and shot nearly 48 percent from the floor, including 43-percent clip from downtown (58-for-135). He also distributed the ball well, dishing out 82 assists.
College Highlights:
2015: Thomas played in 33 games and made 32 starts, finishing the year as the team''s starting third baseman. He finished the year hitting .292 in 106 at-bats, including two doubles and 14 RBI. He only struck out eight times and commited only six errors, defensively, in 112 total chances. He made his collegiate debut against Nebraska Wesleyan on March 15 and went 1-for-5 with a run scored. He hit safely in his first five games, which included a 2-for-3 effort with a double, RBI and run scored during BVU''s 8-7 win at Wheaton College on March 21. He also ended the year on a five-game hitting streak and had six multi-hit games for the year.
Thomas is also a member of the Buena Vista men''s basketball team.
