About Nick: Is the son of Mark and KellieSchlecht...He has two brothers, Sam and Ben, and one sister,Karly.

High School Highlights: He was a two-timeletterwinner for the SkyHawks. As a senior, he was namedall-conference, all-state and was also a part of the staterunner-up team.

College Highlights: Nick appeared in 12 games,including six starts as a freshman in 2011. His first career startcame against Grinnell College on March 5, while he picked up hisfirst collegiate hit by going 1-for-3 with a run scored atWestminster College on March 6. He tallied his first extra-base hitwhen he captured a pinch-hit RBI double in game two of adoubleheader against Simpson College on April 23. As a sophomorelast season, he started 38 games, primarily in left field. Herecorded his first career three-hit contest when he went 3-for-6with two RBI and two runs scored in the conference opener atCornell College on March 23. One of those three hits was also hisfirst career triple. Later in the year against Loras College onApril 29, Nick went 3-for-6 with a pair of doubles, an RBI and tworuns scored. He also had four hits and scored four times duringfive games of the IIAC Tournament in Cedar Rapids where BVUfinished as runner-up. His eight stolen bases on the year were alsosecond-most on the team, while he led the team in runs scored.
