About Jake: Jake is the son of Todd and Linda Lewis... and sister of Molly Lewis
High School Highlights: Jake was on the National Honors Society for three years along with the TAG program. In Baseball, Jake lettered three times and was 2nd Team All conference his sophmore and junior year and a state champion his junior season as well. In his senior season Jake recieved 1st Team All Conference, 2nd Team All State, and finally 1st Team All District.
College Highlights:
2017: First Team All-Iowa Confernce selection...Made 12 appearances, including 11 starts...Went 6-3 overall with a 2.21 ERA over 69.1 innings...Was second on the staff with 31 strikeouts...During IIAC play, he went 4-2 with a 1.32 ERA that ranked fourth among all pitchers in the league...Pitched a complete-game during the first game of a doubleheader against Central on April 17...Struck out a season-high seven over 6.2 innings during a win at the University of Dubuque on April 1.
2016: Appeared in 10 games while starting 6. Struck out 19 batters in 33 innings pitched. Against Loras on April 3rd he pitched 4.2 innings allowing only 1 run on 4 hits while striking out 4.
2015: He made six appearances on the year, including two starts, and went 0-0 with a 3.46 ERA in 13 innings of work. Turned in one of his best outings of the season when he worked three innings, allowing a run on four hits against Carroll (Wis.) while striking out four as BVU picked up a 6-5 win.
2014: Came out of the bullpen to make two appearances during his freshman campaign and earned one win. That victory came after he worked 1.2 innings, allowing two runs on two hits while striking out two against Coe College on April 8.
