About Gage: Is the son of Danielle and Paul...has two brothers, Ethan and Dylan.

High School Highlights: A three-year baseball letterwinner and also served as a team captain...Three-time academic all-conference selection.

College Highlights: Attended Northwestern Missouri State before transferring to BVU for his freshman campaign in 2017

2020: Second Team Preseason All-American...Appeared in two of the team's first seven games out of the bullpen before the remainder of the season was canceled due to COVID-19 pandemic...Pitched 3.2 innings and went 0-1...pitched 2.2 innings in loss to Grinnell where he struck out three.

2019: Made a team-leading 23 appearances out of the bullpen...went 5-1 with a 1.14 ERA over 47.1 innings...had eight saves which was second-most in school history and led the A-R-C...his 0.68 WHIP led all of DIII...led the team with 54 strikeouts and only 13 walks...pitched 3.2 innings and struck out eight against Luther...worked a season-high 4.0 innings against Grinnell and struck out five...had four games where he struck out five or more on the year...named Second Team All-Conference...named Second Team All-American by the ABCA.

2018: Gage made 11 appearances this year with eight starts. He had a record of 2-5 with one complete game. He pitched 51.1 innings and had an ERA of 7.01. He struck out 29 batters on the year and surrendered 46 runs with 40 of them being earned runs. Against Salem St. on March 17th he went 7 innings surrendering five hits with three earned runs. He did strike out five batters during the appearance. In a Conference matchup against the IIAC Champions Dubuque, he went 6.2 innings surrendering only three hits and two runs, one of which was earned.  He struck out four batters and earnd the W in the game. 

2017: Made 18 appearances on the mound as a freshman, primarily in relief...Pitched 37 innings overall and went 3-1 with a pair of saves...His 37 innings ranked fourth on the team while his 30 strikeouts were third...Made his first career start in the opener of a doubleheader against Nebraska Wesleyan on April 4, pitching 5.2 innings, allowing eight hits and no runs during BVU''s 6-0 victory...Worked 5.2 innings of relief in the IIAC Tournament opener against Central on May 11, scattering just one hit and striking out two as BVU posted a 5-4 walk-off victory...Earned his first career save when he worked the final two frames against Salem St. on March 18...Recorded IIAC saves against both Luther and Simpson.
