2017: Played as a member of the junior varsity team as a freshman.

2018: Appeared in 10 games and posted an overall record of 0-2...posted an ERA of 5.82 in 17 innings and struck out six batters...On April 2nd against Nebraska Wesleyan, went two innings allowing no runs or hits, and striking out one. 

2019: Clayton appeared as a pitcher in 9 games pitching 11.2 innings. He posted an ERA of 7.71 striking out 4 batters.

2020: Made a pair of relief appearances over the team's first seven games before the remainder of the year was canceled due to COVID-19 pandemic...Pitched two innings and had five strikeouts while allowing just three runs.
