About Jordan: Is the son of Kelli and Scott...has one brother, Caden, who's also a member of the BVU baseball team, along with one sister, Mckenna.

High School Highlights: Was a Lincoln Journal all-state selection and an Honorable Mention selection by the Omaha World Herald...member of the honors society.

College Highlights:
2020: Did not appear in any of the team's first seven varsity contests before the remainder of the season was canceled due to COVID-19 pandemic.

2021: Started 41 of the 43 games he appeared in...First Team All-Conference Second Base...Led the team and ranked 6th in the A-R-C with a .356 average...Finished with 56 hits in 158 at-bats...Had 17 multi-hit games including six three-hit outings...went 3-for-4 with a home run, 2 RBI and four runs scored in game two of the home opening doubleheader against Hamline on March 13...had a pair of hits and a career-high four RBI during the series opener against the University of Dubuque on April 30...went 6-for-14 with an RBI and one stolen base over three games during the A-R-C Tournament.

2022: Named First Team All-Conference as a second baseman for the second straight season...Over 24 games, he slashed .340/.414/.500 while hitting six doubles, two triples, two home runs, driving in 16 runs, and scoring 23 runs...recorded five steals in seven attempts while also recording a pair of sacrifice flies and sacrifice hits...against Central on March on 26^th, Mathewson recorded a season-high four hits in five at-bats while driving in a run and scoring twice.

2023: Played all 42 games as the team's starting second baseman...led the team and ranked third in the A-R-C with a .413 average...his 74 hits are the second-most in a single season in program history...had 23 multi-hit games...had both a 12-game hitting streak followed later by an 8-game hit streak...had four different 4-hit games, including a 4-for-5 effort with two RBI and four runs scored scored during the series finale at Loras College on April 2...went 5-for-13 with three runs scored during the A-R-C Tournament...went 5-for-10 with two doubles and four runs scored during the NCAA Regional Tournament...Named First Team All-Conference for the third straight year...Named Second Team All-Region by the ABCA...Named Academic All-District by the College Sports Communicators...Voted as the BVU Senior Male Student-Athlete of the Year.
 
2024: Started all 43 team games...batted .328 with 57 hits, 14 extra base hits, 4 home runs, 35 RBI, 82 total bases, slugging percentage of .471...took a free pass to first base 31 times...stole 2 bases... .970 fielding percentage...broke the career hits record on April 9th against Wartburg...finished his career with 240 hits
