SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Sept. 4, 2026) - The Buena Vista women's cross country team took part in the annual Augie Twilight on Friday night, hosted by Augustana College (SD), and after waiting out a two-hour delay due to the extreme heat, the Beavers finally got to take the course by 10:15 p.m., and posted many strong individual performances.

Senior Megan Bakke led the way with a strong run in 19:04 to come in 112th overall. The next six ladies in the line-up all reached the finish line within 1:40 of each other. Freshman Paige Boyer was the first of that group to cross the line and did so in 21:02.3. Senior Takara Conley was right behind in 21:46.

Junior Lillian Dahlhauser (22:11) and sophomore Kenadie Thiner (22:18) were separated by only seven seconds while Maddie Dahlhauser and Raygin Anderson each rounded out the line-up with times of 22:31.3 and 22:43.0.

Buena Vista came in 22nd out of 28 teams with 653 points. The University of South Dakota won the event with 33 points and was nearly 30 points ahead of runner-up South Dakota State.

The Beavers resume action on Sept. 19 at the Greeno/Dirksen Invite hosted by Nebraska Wesleyan.
