STORM LAKE,  Iowa (Sept. 29,  2026) - The Buena Vista men's soccer team hosted Faith Baptist Bible College on Tuesday night, and the two teams battled it out all night inside of J. Leslie Rollins Stadium en route to a 0-0 tie.

Both sides were essentially even over the first 45 minutes of play with BVU holding a slight edge in total shots, 4-3. All three for the Beavers came on-goal with two for the Eagles. BVU  put the pressure on the Eagles a bit more in the second half with 10 shots, but couldn't get one to find net with four on-goal.

Kenin Kapich led the way for Buena Vista with four total shots and three of those resulting on-goal. Jeramiah Rediske and Daniel Martinez were each close behind with two shots apiece.

Christian Pogue and Alexis Sanabia split time in-goal for BVU defensively, and each turned in two saves en route to a combined shutout. It's the team's third shutout of the season and the second combined shutout for Pogue.

Buena Vista is now 2-3-3 on the year and closes out the non-conference portion of its schedule on Saturday, Oct. 3 when it hosts Spurgeon College to wrap up Homecoming Week. Kickoff inside of J. Leslie Rollins Stadium is set for 7:30 p.m.
