SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Sept. 25, 2026) - The Buena Vista women's cross country team was forced to shuffle its schedule around due to the recent weather conditions, but the Beavers were finally able to take the course again on Friday morning during the Augustana College Invite.

Senior Megan Bakke was the team's leading finisher and came across the line in 23:18.1 and placed 106th overall. Fellow senior Takara Conley was next in a personal best clocking 24:05.7 which bettered her previous best from last year's A-R-C Championships by four seconds.

Kenadie Thiner also set a new personal best time for the Beavers who finished 18th out of 20 in the team race.

The Beavers will host the BVU Homecoming 5K next Saturday, Oct. 3 before returning to action on Saturday, Oct. 10 for the Holiday Inn Classic at Dordt University.
