STORM LAKE, Iowa (Sept. 19, 2026) - The Buena Vista women's golf team has an eight-shot lead at the midway point of the annual BVU Fall Invite which got underway on Saturday morning at the BVU Golf Course at Lake Creek. Freshman Hannah Swanson is the clubhouse leader on the individual side by two shots following an opening round 77.
Despite battling some early morning fog, along with cloudy and cooler temperatures throughout the day, the Beavers came out on their home course and chalked up a round of 322. Swanson had a solid round which included five birdies. Freshman Hannah Patrick was just behind Swanson with an 80 and tied for fourth. She also matched Swanson with four birdies. Riley Haschke (82) is in eighth and Peyton Hartman (83) is tied for ninth. Those two golfers combined for five more birdies. Ella Whited rounded out the line-up with an 86.
The ‘B’ team for the Beavers was led by Alex Wonder who is 20th after an opening round of 89 that included a birdie on the 10th hole.
